The 7th Annual 7 Day Bible Art Challenge at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church is on display through April 3, 2024 at the Mill Run campus (3600 Mill Run Drive, Columbus, OH)
For 2024, we had 23 artworks turned in, 7 from youth and 16 from adults. The theme was "a Church Together."

Youth Awards
Youth artists ranged in age from 5th grade thru 11th grade. Their group was assigned Acts 2:43-47, how the early believers had everything together in common.
For Grade 5-6,
- The Outstanding Achievement award went to Waverly Snare, grade 6, for her 3D paint/sculpture mixed media piece, "The Body of Christ."
- Art Achievement ribbons were presented to Elise Devore and Maia Devore
Grade 7-11
- The Outstanding Achievement award went to David Rumschlag grade 8, for his colored pencil drawing, "Unified Through Christ".
- Art Achievement ribbons went to Abigail Rumschlag, Jeremiah Rumschlag, and Kinsley Bryant.
Adult Awards
The adults had a very challenging passage, Colossians 1:15-20, which begins "The son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation..." and yielded a wide variety of artwork styles.
The Winners of cash prizes are:
- First place went to Tara Nicodemus for the brilliantly colorful "In Him, Through Him, For Him" acrylic paint & alcohol ink painting.
- Second place went to Mike Larson's acrylic work, "He Holds All Things Together."
- Third place is a unique fabric collage by Anne Dukat, titled "God's Love."
Honorable Mentions went to:
- Blair Bickel, an untitled acrylic painting
- Pam Mann for "Held Together in Christ," a 3d mixed media sculpture
- Andrea Grazzini, a 3-panel fabric collage titled "He Was, and Is, and Is To Come."
And a Special Award was presented to
- Robert (Bob) Bruce for his watercolor "Visible and Invisible," and to acknowledge his years of service as leader of the Visual Arts Ministry at UALC.

Artwork will be on display through April 3, 2024 at UALC's Mill Run campus, 3600 Mill Run Drive, Columbus, OH. Gallery is on the 2nd floor.
Artists may retrieve their art anytime April 3 or 4. If not picked up by April 4, art will be stored away. Artwork sold must remain on display until April 3.
